How do I update my payment method?

There is no standalone update-card form in Billing today — payment methods update through Stripe when you pay successfully.

Update payment method

Billing tab is read-only for cards. Stripe Customer Portal payment method updates are disabled. New subscription checkout saves default payment method on_subscription.

Checkout >>> new payment | Contact Support

Prerequisites: Need new card on file.

Step 1. Current UI

  • Billing → Payment Methods is view-only.

  • VERIFY IN APP: any future add-card flow.

Step 2. If renewal fails

  • Resolve Requires Payment Method status.

  • Contact Support via Need Help? → Contact Support.

Key points to consider

  • Stripe portal cannot be used — disabled by design.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Looking for Update card button on Billing — not shipped in v1 UI.

Contact support for payment method changes; Billing tab shows cards read-only.
