An agent books “photos plus a Zillow tour.” You deliver a regular three-sixty. They explode: they needed Showcase with an interactive floor plan—and claim it is just another button click that costs nothing. Are those the same capture?

Not always in practice. Showcase floor-plan workflows and legacy regular tours have been different options in the app. Many photographers now default to floor-plan capture so the fight never starts. Zillow support has sometimes converted a non–floor-plan tour after the fact as an exception.

Why agents mix them up

In some markets, “Zillow” is slang for Showcase requirements. Out-of-town agents bring those assumptions. Others still want a simple tour. “Everybody knows” is not a technical brief—it is a local habit colliding with your menu.

Capture is not one identical click

Some shooters say floor-plan mode barely adds time since QR pads went away. Others say you need more scans so the plan catches every space, plus more stitching work when connections miss.
